This parka is insulated with a 70-30 percent blend of grey goose down and feathers. The sectional inner construction keeps the down from settling or bunching up. This jacket is snug all over. It’s like comfort literally hugs you. At the bottom of the sleeve there is an inner cotton-elastic snow cuff similar to that of a sweatshirt, and a separate outer cuff. This combination ensures that no snow makes it up your sleeve and keeps all the wind out as well.
To compliment the great innards of the 66 North Thorsmork Parka is it’s tough 100 percent nylon shell. The shell provides a perfect balance of water repellency, waterproofing , moisture permeability, and condensation. The hood of this parka is constructed with the same outer shell, and nylon lining, and insulation as the lower. It is absolutely enormous, you’ll have no problem keeping your head protected in those winter storms. It also features a detachable fox fur trim piece, to keep the blowing snow out of your face.
