Chipmunk hangs out in store
For two days in early September, we had a rather cute interloper who took up residence in our shop. Initially spotted in the warehouse area, the furry intruder spent some time inspecting our tech bench and bootfitting equipment. During the second day of the chipmunk’s tenure in our shop, he seemed to gravitate toward our selection of winter outerwear and our ski display. The chipmunk didn’t spend much time shopping our kayak selection, as he couldn’t get much traction on the wood floor in the rear of the shop. After two days of being chased around the shop by our master ski tech Bill and our marketing dude Brent, the chipmunk seemed to be laying low. Luckily, a customer noticed him scurrying around the snowboard wall and our resident powder hound Alex (who is actually fluent in chipmunkese) was able to convince him – with some help from a broom – that it was time for him to head back outside. We only have two regrets now that our encounter with the chipmunk is over: (1) we didn’t get any video of Bill, Brent & Alex chasing him around the store and; (2) we couldn’t talk him into a new pair of twin tips. |
