At Sun & Snow we strive to engage the community in a multitude of ways, expanding our services far beyond the walls of our stores. Our Wednesday Night Workouts, sponsored by Hines Park Lincoln, provides a weekly opportunity for anyone in the community to take their first steps towards a more active lifestyle. We invited professional instructors from local fitness studios (My Yoga Room, Core Sport Pilates, Z-Spot Fitness, Hale Strength & Shape, Jazzercise, etc.) who lead the one-hour sessions in Plymouth’s Kellogg Park (6:30-7:30 p.m.).
The events are free of charge, though a $5 donation is appreciated. 100% of the funds collected go charities and the Downtown Plymouth Tree Lighting fund, an initiative started by Sun & Snow in 2012 to illuminate the town at night. We also started the “Kick Butt” program for skateboarders, we have taken the lead on the Warren Miller movie premier in Ann Arbor, and we play an active role in the Plymouth Ice Festival, Pumpkin Palooza and Christmas in Plymouth. We've hosted major ski & snowboard rail jams in Ann Arbor's Veterans' Park, and are constantly working up new ways to engage the community for the betterment of all.

Scholastic Art Showcase

Plymouth, Michigan

With summer just around the corner, we are all super excited to get outside and play our favorite sports and activities. But we wondered, what would it be like to play your favorite sports and activities on the moon? What would happen if you tried to bounce a ball or ride a bike? What would your favorite sport look like if there was no gravity? The Shoot for the Moon Art Showcase is a fun and free opportunity to show us what fun in outer space looks like. So… grab a board and give us your best shot!
