MEN'S GLOVES & MITTS
Warm hands. Without the boxing mitts.
We look for serious warmth and waterproofing without giving up the dexterity you need to hold a pole, grab a buckle or actually use your hands.

WARM
Enough insulation for real ski days and cold chairlift rides.
DRY
Real water protection matters when snow turns wet.
DEXTEROUS
Because you still need to hold poles, zip jackets and work bindings.

We Don't Buy Gloves by the Price Tag

A cheap glove can look perfectly good hanging on a rack. The difference starts showing up after you've spent a few hours outside.

We look for gloves and mitts that balance insulation, waterproofing, fit, dexterity and construction. The goal is something you'll actually want to wear for years, not a bargain “weatherproof” glove that becomes considerably less impressive once the weather shows up.

Warm is good. Warm and usable is better.
More insulation isn't automatically better if the glove becomes so bulky you can't comfortably use your hands.

The Little Details Matter

Hand-Warmer Pockets
Waterproof zippered pockets on select models give cold-handed skiers another way to add warmth when needed.
Nose Wipes
Not glamorous. Extremely useful. Soft nose-wipe panels are one of those details you appreciate after the temperature drops.
Durable Construction
Quality leather, reinforced wear areas, good stitching and better materials can turn a glove into something you use season after season.
Good Cuff Design
Under-cuff or gauntlet, the closure should work with your jacket and help keep snow where it belongs.
Real Dexterity
A properly shaped glove should move with your hand instead of making every buckle and zipper a project.
Clean Style
Technical doesn't have to look ridiculous. We like gloves that perform hard and still look good doing it.

Gloves or Mitts?

GLOVES
Better dexterity for poles, bindings, buckles and gear. The right choice for a lot of skiers and riders.
MITTS
Usually warmer because your fingers share heat. If you're always the guy with cold hands, don't rule them out.
Take care of good gloves.
We carry Nikwax waterproofing and leather-care products to help maintain the water resistance, condition the materials and extend the life of quality gloves and mitts.
