YOUTH GLOVES & MITTENS
Warm hands. Fewer negotiations.
Warm, waterproof kids' gloves and mittens chosen for actual winter, actual snow and actual kids.
One good pair beats two soggy ones.
You shouldn't need one pair on the kid and another pair tumbling around in the dryer.
Heidi Is Picky About Kids' Mittens
Our buyer Heidi is a skier, a mom and someone who is always cold. She chooses kids' gloves and mittens the same way she bought them for our own family: they need to be warm, keep snow and water out, fit properly and be easy enough that kids will actually wear them.
WARM
Because cold fingers can end the day fast.
DRY
Kids spend considerably more time in the snow than adults.
EASY
Easy enough to put on that kids will actually wear them without turning it into a negotiation.
Gloves or Mittens?
MITTENS
Usually warmer. A great choice for younger kids and anyone whose hands get cold easily.
GLOVES
More dexterity for older kids using poles, bindings and other gear.
Don't buy them enormous.
Growing room is good. Swimming in them isn't. Oversized gloves can reduce dexterity and make it harder to keep little hands warm.

Keep the fingers warm.
The rest of the day gets a lot easier.
