At Sun & Snow, we look at your ability, speed, preferred terrain and where you spend most of your winter. Waist width, sidecut, rocker, camber, flex and construction all affect how a ski feels. For a Michigan skier, that might mean quick edge-to-edge performance at home, an all-mountain ski that can do a little of everything, or a wider setup built with trips out West in mind.

All-mountain skis balance groomer performance with more versatility in softer and variable snow. For many Michigan skiers who also travel, this can be an excellent one-ski setup.

What Size Women's Ski Do I Need?
Height is only a starting point. Weight, ability, speed, terrain, ski construction and rocker profile all affect the appropriate length. A more experienced or aggressive skier may prefer additional length and stability, while someone prioritizing maneuverability and easier turn initiation may be happier on a shorter ski.
A size chart can get you in the neighborhood. It shouldn't make the entire decision for you.

If your feet hurt, go numb or move around inside your boots, you're leaving comfort and control on the table. Our professional bootfitters can evaluate foot shape, volume, support and the way you actually ski before recommending a solution.
